Rally is a new wellness brand specializing in magnesium restoratives. Their first product offering, Recovery Balm, is a roll-on magnesium balm to be used after workouts, work, or any physical activity. Its sort of like a roll-on epsom salt bath. I was able to help out from the very beginning, working with Rachel to define the brand and identity, as well as creating the packaging and website. After some trademark issues, they’ve changed the name to Peace Love Rally (coming soon), but in the year it was Rally, this is what we did.

THE BRIEF

As we were discussing what this brand should feel like, we started to draw a lot of inspiration from the New Age phenomenon that stemmed from the counterculture movement of the 1960s and 1970s. We wanted it to evoke that feeling of the wellness and spiritual ethos from back then, but imagine if it grew up and became it’s own kind of entrepreneur. We coined this the “sophisticated hippie”.
